Today, members of the Rohingya Community of Chatham-Kent had the pleasure of meeting with Councillor Alysson Storey for an introductory meeting.
We sincerely appreciate Councillor Storey for taking the time to meet with us and listen to the needs and aspirations of our growing Rohingya community. It was a valuable opportunity to introduce our organization, share the work we do, and discuss the key challenges and priorities facing Rohingya families in Chatham-Kent.
As one of the fastest-growing newcomer communities in our region, we are committed to helping families successfully integrate into Canadian society by providing interpretation, settlement support, assistance with housing, education, healthcare, and connecting newcomers with local services.
We are grateful for Councillor Storey’s interest, kindness, and willingness to learn more about our community. We look forward to building a strong and positive relationship and working together to make Chatham-Kent an even more welcoming and inclusive place for everyone.
Thank you once again, Councillor Alysson Storey, for your time and support.
Best regards,
Rohingya Community of Chatham-Kent
